Using Zifty for your business
Zifty is software for running a window cleaning business. You must be at least 18, and you use Zifty for your business, not as a consumer. If you set up an account for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to agree to these terms on its behalf.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens in your account and for the information you add to it being accurate.
Free trial, plans and billing
New accounts start with a free trial, currently 14 days. When billing is switched on, we’ll ask for your Direct Debit details through GoCardless to start your trial. Nothing is taken during the trial.
When your trial ends, your chosen plan starts, unless you cancel before then. Plans are billed monthly in advance by Direct Debit through GoCardless. We’ll confirm your plan’s price before your trial starts (waitlist members are offered early bird pricing). Zifty Ltd isn’t VAT registered, so there’s no VAT on our prices; if that changes, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before VAT is added.
You can change plan at any time. You can cancel at any time and your plan runs until the end of the period you’ve paid for; we don’t refund part-months unless the law says we must. If we change our prices, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
If a payment fails, we’ll let you know and try again. If it still can’t be collected, we may pause your account until it’s sorted.
Your data
Your data stays yours. You can export it, and if you leave we’ll delete it as our Privacy Policy explains. You give us permission to store and process your data only to provide Zifty to you.
For your customers’ data, you’re the controller and we’re your processor. You’re responsible for having a lawful basis to hold it and for telling your customers how you use it, including when you send them texts, emails or invoices through Zifty.
Payments to you through GoCardless
If you connect your own GoCardless account, your customers pay you through GoCardless, under GoCardless’s own terms. Zifty asks GoCardless to collect the amounts you set, such as when you mark a job done, but we don’t hold your money and we aren’t responsible for GoCardless’s service.
Fair use
Please don’t use Zifty to break the law, to send spam or messages people haven’t agreed to receive, to upload anything harmful, or to try to get into other people’s accounts or our systems. Don’t copy, resell or reverse engineer Zifty. If you do any of these, we may suspend or close your account.
Our service
We work hard to keep Zifty running, secure and accurate, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Planning, route, weather and forecast information is a guide, so please use your own judgement. We may improve, change or remove features over time, and we’ll give you notice of any change that significantly affects you.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
Otherwise, we aren’t liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us for Zifty in those 12 months.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close it if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or don’t pay, and we’ll usually warn you first. If we ever stop offering Zifty, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using Zifty after that, the new terms apply.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute.
